Finding the right labour for your project is often expensive and very hit and miss in terms of finding the right person for the job. Enter Build Labour, who have just launched and are about to disrupt the Blue-collar recruitment market with their no “bullshit” approach to making sure the right talent ends up on the right construction project.
Build Labour charges a quarter of the cost current job boards charge and individually checks each worker to ensure reference checks are true and candidates are appropriately screened.
We sat down with director and founder Fraser Lorkin who launched the company three weeks before Covid-19 hit. He said he has seen a boom in worker sign ups and a drop in company advertising requests.
“The trend extends from companies freaking out about pipelines and not wanting full time employees employed or wanting to prolong pipeline by not completing the work in the traditional sense of it needed to be done yesterday.”
On the flip side, workers are accessing Build Labour because they want maximum transparency and optimisation.
“They can see that the companies and jobs are real without beating around the bush with traditional job boards. Not mention the supply and demand COVIDs created with people being let go etc.”
At the moment the company is servicing all of Australia with the construction industry and other industries are also in the pipeline for the platform.
“Our clients love the hands on approach we offer, and the no bullshit with offers and pricing,” he said.
“Keeping the platform simple is what the whole industry wants, clients don't want to be misled if the product doesn't do what it states it does.
